1. Informational service
Remote Reality Check provides educational tools, checklists, definitions, guides, and suggested questions. Results are automated, phrase-based screening signals. They are not a determination that a job is legitimate, suitable, legally available, or truly location-independent.
2. No professional advice
The service does not provide legal, tax, immigration, employment, financial, accounting, security, or other professional advice. Rules vary by country, location, employer, contract, visa status, and personal circumstances. Consult an appropriately qualified professional when a decision depends on those rules.
3. Verify with the employer
You are responsible for confirming job duties, employer identity, location eligibility, work authorization, employment status, compensation, working hours, travel, equipment, and all offer terms directly with the employer through independently verified channels.
4. Scam and safety limitations
A checklist or phrase match cannot prove that an offer is genuine or fraudulent. Do not send money, move funds, purchase cryptocurrency or gift cards, or share sensitive identity and banking information solely because a listing or recruiter appears to pass these tools.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use the service to violate law, infringe rights, disrupt the site, attempt unauthorized access, distribute malicious material, or make automated employment decisions about another person. Do not paste confidential or personal information that you do not have permission to use.
6. Availability and changes
The MVP may change, contain errors, or be unavailable. Features, rules, wording, and access may be modified or discontinued without notice. No promise is made that every restriction, risk phrase, or policy change will be detected.
7. No warranties and limited responsibility
The service is provided on an as-is and as-available basis to the extent permitted by law. You remain responsible for decisions made using the site and for independently checking information before acting on it.
8. Third-party content
Links, job listings, employer statements, and other third-party material are controlled by their respective owners. Inclusion or analysis does not imply endorsement, verification, or responsibility for that content.
